Well, I didn't get that position. I'm disappointed. It was a terrific position. It wasn't a French teaching position but the Director of Community Service at two prestigous private schools. I'm sure they found someone great for them and I wish them well.
My focus has not changed. I still want to return to education. I want to teach. I have two French position prospects that I am pursuing, so hopefully something will pan out.

There must be better things to come....good luck in your career search
There will be something great for you. And then you'll know why this didn't work out. Hang in there...
Think of this as your practice run at an interview and by your excitement at the prospect, it reaffirmed your decision to move forward and return to teaching.
Jenny, you are very, very special. Nothing against these people who made the decision, but I tend to thing that they probably weren't "right" for you.
I ditto everyone, including yourself, in saying that the right one will come. It will come.

When one door closes...remember there are always windows.
You may remember that I phone interviewed for a position at one of those very same schools. I didn't get offered an on campus interview. It was SO disappointing.
Only then I was offered a position at a fantastic co-ed school that is a better fit for my own children. And where I'm so happy. And where I met the love of my life. So....trust yourself and the universe sweetie. It will work out. xo
Listen to MM! Although she is pretty giddy right now, dontcha think?
Job hunting can be a royal bummer, but THE job is out there. How do I know? Because you DESERVE it! Enjoy the spring and your divas and it will come.
I applied for a dream job and didn't get it... only to be asked to come back in 10 weeks later when the first person didn't work out.
You never know.
You will find a perfect position I just know it!
Their loss, press ahead.
Disappointing but the right thing will come along at the right time.
