This Lady Does Not

Comment from Kelly....

I used to enjoy this blog, but c'mon ladies, this isn't a blog anymore. It's a journal. It's not a bad thing, it just is. Every blogger I know responds to comments and/or questions from their readers. This lady does not. Stop commenting. Stop reading. There is nothing but one-sided convos here. What a shame, it wasn't always that way.

Kelly, you're right.  It is a journal.  It always has been.  I have been journaling here or on other locations on the internet such as my original Scotthousehold for almost ten years.  I have never considered myself a "blogger."  No, I don't often comment though sometimes I privately am in touch with commenters.  I comment or respond when I can in later posts.  I don't do this blog for the entertainment of others and I'm often baffled as to why in the world anyone still reads the ramblings in my head.  This is simply that.  My ramblings.  I'm humbled by those who have followed me through the years and the crazy journey this life has taken me on.  I'm truly inspired by those who have written to me saying that my experiences have helped them in their past.

But please, stop reading and commenting if this blog brings you such negative feelings, Kelly.

This lady does not mind.

You're so mean. I can't believe you don't want to have a conversation with Kelly. She seems like a true delight.

You go girl!!! It cracks me up when people respond negatively..... jeez..... get a life OR quit reading!

Very well said Jenny. I originally found you from a comment section on kiddkradick.com when Allie was first sick. I've stuck with you until today. I feel like I know you and I have enjoyed watching you family grow. I've laughed with you, been angry with you and cried with you. I can't believe someone would write such rude comments. Please keep doing what you are doing. Your long distance friends still like to read and see what you are up to.

take care!
a long time reader

Ditto what Marcy commented. I started reading years ago (found you on Babycenter) and I've stuck with you because you have truly chronicled your life in a real, raw, no-holds-barred type of way and that's SO refreshing. It's been exciting to see the journey your life has taken and how you've handled things along the way. Good on' ya Jenny. "Kelly" must be 1. insanely bored 2.insanely miserable 3. plain insane. How sad that she has nothing better to do than write nasty, unwanted, unnecessary comments. Haters, bring it. We got you, Jenny. ;)

Touche Jenny! I totally agree...my blog is a journal as well.... Kelly needs to look elsewhere if she's aiming to be entertained!

I, as many others, found you through BabyCenter when Allie was sick. And I thank you for showing us that you can come out on the other side - and still stay positive and most importantly ... be happy!!
Thank you for that!

OMG! Buh bye Kelly! Just. Wow. Mebbe Kelly should show us all how its done. Or drink some calming tea. Or something.

I for one love reading your ramblings - been following you since Baby Center days! I post every once in a while, but don't expect a reply - just send out my thoughts from time to time. :)

Funny...some people can't enjoy a REAL person's life and willingness to share it with those who love and care about her. Share all you want...I will always listen with an open and receptive heart!!

Because I said so... said...

Share away! The rest of us will still be here. Dear Kelly-don't let the door hit ya!

Jenny, I have read since the sweet Miss Allie days. I always enjoy seeing what you are up to and how you and your lovelies are doing. I mean I could totally do with more Brandy news, but hey, I can't be picky right? ;)

My thought is this is your blog (your home) and you post and comment how you like. You don't have to please anyone, and you can share or not what you want. I appreciate when you do share.

I am going to be really offended if you don't respond to me now ;)

I have also read since Allie's illness and I enjoy your ramblings greatly. No one can force someone to read them.... so, those of us who enjoy can read, and Kelly can... go away. Simple.

I come often wondering how you are doing. Can't believe people give opinions when none are asked for. nice reply!

My oldest son was born in September of 2003 and I found your original blog shortly thereafter...I followed you and cried with you and admired your beautiful daughter...and I cried when you lost her, and walked in a local Light the Night for her, and felt insanely excited when you started Heroes for Children and then watched you have another daughter...and another...and go through a terrible divorce...and rediscover yourself and battle your weight, and I keep reading because even though you don't update much, I still feel like I know you. I still see butterflies and think of Allie...I still think of her Sophie Giraffe...and I like to see her memory live on in you and your girls. I like to see that you're finally happy again. Maybe Kelly doesn't know what an incredible journey you've been on and how many of us have been on it with you.

I agree.. Please keep journaling on. I love hearing how things are going with you. I am also a long time follower and long distance friend. You are a courageous and beautiful woman who has never been afraid to share your thoughts and feelings and we appreciate you for it.

Keep those ramblings coming. Many of us read and don't comment but we're still with you on this journey.

Sherry said...

We read because we care. No, we've never met you, but that doesn't change our feelings.

Jenny,
I have been a reader since you first started Scotthousehold, and started telling of your journey with Allie. Since I've delighted in watching little Maggie and Katie grow up before our very eyes. Most blogs I go to and read are nothing but online journals. Including my own. I think that's more what most people use blogs for. Please don't stop rambling. Many, MANY of us out there delight in hearing your thoughts, and watching your family evolve. If Kelly does not, she can simply remove your blog from her favorites and stop reading. There's no need for the rudeness of her comment.

Well said Jenny....well said!

I will always be interested in hearing the ramblings in your head. Have followed you since I first learned of Allie when she was sick. Have walked in her memory for Light the Night. Mean spirited people do not bother me.. Keep writing and I will keep reading.

Ditto word for word what Molly said. Love you Jenny and your rambling journal.

Very well said Jenny. I have been following your blog/journal since 2002/2003 with Allie.

I hope you, your girls, and your MM are doing well.

I enjoy reading what is going on inside of your head, it's like reading a book here and there. You know what they say about opinions;).

On another note, i'm sad that morethanaminivan mom deleted her page, she is another blogger I really enjoyed reading. She's such an inspiration as you yourself are. Please pass on my regards to her and I hope the kids and hubby are doing well. If she ever decides to blog again, openly, I hope you'll make mention of it in your ramblings;).

It almost makes you wonder if she posted this on the wrong page....your blog/journal isn't any different than it ever has been!

I for one love to hear from you, I do wish it was more often though :) I've been following you for a long time and love to hear how your life is going. :)

Jenny,

You are a part of my life! I have been reading your incredible, heartbreaking, beautiful, love story for what, 9 years??? Don't mind that crazy lady. We all love everything about you!!!!

I have also read and followed since nearly the beginning with Allie through BabyCenter. I love reading your posts/journal. I confess to being disappointed when you don't post more often! But I realize that you are out living and enjoying life which is far more important than anything else! Clearly, you are adored by many who are inspired by how well you handle everything that has come your way in this life. (I have to admit to being excited when I finally got to see MM. :) )

My blog is a life journal full of crazy ramblings, too. Maybe I missed the point of a blog. Your reader should never hop over to my blog. She would be sorely disappointed!

Jenny I have followed you since right after Allie passed away. I read all your post on Scott Household, I followed you on Heroes for Children, your blog. I was here when Maggie was born. I loved how we got updates from the delivery room. I have a grandson that was born on the same day that Katie was born. You are like long distance family. I know you a lot better than you know me, lol. I take it as a good sign that you don't blog a lot. I hope that means you are to happy to spend all your time on the internet.

jessicab said...

Wow! What nerve! Hi Jenny! I've been following you since Allie too! Your blog is still the same as it used to be just the subject changes as you do! Much love and don't let this chick get you down!

I have followed your journal for a very long time, I have admired your courage and strength through adversity and have truly admired you and often wondered if I could have gone through with even a tenth of the amount of grace and courage. Please pay no mind to "Kelly"....she obviously has no life. Please keep writing, I happen to think it's fantastic - even if it's just a picture sometimes!

Hi Jenny,
I haven't been on your blog in awhile but I was just thinking about you while driving in to work today and wondering what you and your cuties have been up to. Sorry that you got a nasty comment! I'm glad to see that you and the girls are doing so well!!

From,
The OTHER Kelly

I think I've commented once, back on scotthousehold. I've been "following" you since babycenter. Seems like a lifetime ago. Although our lives are not the same, as woman of the same age with daughters, I don't know, I still feel drawn to look these blogs up a few times a year. You owe none of us anything. I thank you for sharing such personal moments. I have to say, I got wrapped up in my own life & didn't check in for almost a year. I was in shock about the divorce & you both meeting other people. Sad because I imagined you both as the perfect couple, as you only ever had kind loving words. You've given me hope. I am a 34 y/o military wife, had kids while I was active duty years ago. I worked in the same career field when I got out. But I haven't had a career. I've changed jobs as we have moved a few times & worked what worked for my family. I don't have my degree, which makes me disappointed in myself. But your writing lets me know to keep moving forward. Life can change in an instant & tomorrow will be better, even when it's worse. Because at least I am moving forward.

Well said Jenny! I started reading your journal when Allie was sick. I've laughed with you, cried with you, and have enjoyed every single entry you've written. I keep coming back because I've felt a sort of kinship with you, even though we've never met. If someone doesn't enjoy reading your ramblings then they should.....stop reading!!!! I pray you continue journaling for a very long time! I smile oh so big when I pop over here and see a new entry!!!

Like most everyone else who's commented, I too, am an internet stalker...LOL. I've followed your stories of Ally, the girls, your divorce, and now your romance with MM. I have lost your links, I have not looked at your page for months and I think even a year at a time, but something always brings me back wondering how your life is going now. Every day something reminds me of Allie. I have quite a few friends who have children who have recently just joined her in Heaven. Keep journaling because sometimes, it's nice to get out of our heads and jump into someone else's for a minute.

Looks like I'm behind the times!! I, too, have been reading since the days of Miss Allie. I always try to come back and see how you're doing as often as I can.
I know you already know this, but I'll reiterate: don't worry about negativity from someone like her. I know I certainly feel honored you continue to let us glimpse into your delightful family. :)
