This is the face of cancer?

Tomorrow is Allie Day. It is a day we remember her beauty, grace, strength, and courage. In honor of my beautiful Allie, here are some pictures of the gorgeous girl. Heaven got a lot brighter three years ago on September 13th, that's for sure.

These pictures are actually in reverse order so they are newest (about 7 1/2 months or so) to oldest (about 4 months at diagnosis). Remember--look at this smile. Every single picture is one where the child had CANCER.

My all time favorite picture of my giraffe loving girl.

I just love this baby girl!! I love her whole family! =] The Scott's have touched my life in ways I can't even explain. I know I am better having "known" you. Allie is and always will be a magnificent baby sent here by God to make the world a better place - and she did. What a blessing. Thank you Jenny and Andrew for sharing Allie and your lives with us! Maggie is so lucky to have a sister like Allie... So much love and prayers to you today. God is with you - and so is ♥Allie♥ God Bless always

ps - I'm sending up balloons to Allie today when my girl gets home from school. Both my kids know Allie and call her their friend. In fact, just now looking at these pictures my son (also a 12-2003 baby) said her by name and said "Mom, she is soooo perty!" Well duh hehe! =] ♥

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family today. I can't believe I have been following your story for more than three years now. I truly don't know where time goes.

I was always deathly afraid of needles so never even considered donating blood. After Allie passed away, and you posted about the importance of blood donation, I overcame my fear and donated for the first time on what would have been Allie's 1st birthday, December 17, 2004. Since then, I have signed up to donate at every single blood drive that comes to my workplace (once every three months!). I'm a "bad" donor--veins are hard to hit, blood flow slows down--but I figure the discomfort I go through is worth it, and will never compare to Allie's strength through all of her hardships.

I'm also happy to say that due to Allie and Andrew (I couldn't believe he was actually a match for someone!), I put myself on the National Bone Marrow Registry this past year. I have been truly touched by your story, and I now feel an obligation to do whatever I can to help save other lives from cancer (or whatever other diseases). I can honestly say that your daughter is the reason for all of this... I hope you find just a little bit (even a smidge) of comfort in knowing that. Especially since I know I am not the only one who has been moved to action by her story.

Much love to you all during what I know is always a difficult time. Today, we are all celebrating the life of your angel!

It has been over 3 years since I have known about Allie Scott, and I honestly think about her almost everyday. My daughter is a month younger then Allie, so Allie's passing hit me pretty hard. But I am proud to say that because of Allie, I am a better parent. I have more patience, love, and understanding, all thanks to a precious little angel- so thank you Allie! You will NEVER be forgotten!

Jenny, Andrew, Maggie, and the rest of your amazing family - you all are in my thoughts and prayers today. Allie may be gone, but she'll NEVER EVER be forgotten in the hearts of THOUSANDS.

The impact that Allie had on the world in such a short period of time is amazing and awe-inspiring. Because of her, I also religiously dontate blood. Because of her, I am on the bone marrow registry. Because of her, I help organize our local LTN Walk each year. Because of her, I have a new appreciation for my own children. Because of Allie (and your entire family, really), there is no doubt that the world is a better place.

I'm thinking of you.

Celebrating the life of your sweet angel Allie. What a little pumpkin....I have followed your blog for over 3 years now as I use to live in Lost Creek too. I will never forget the night I read your post of Allie taking her wings....I was up late because at that time I had a 3 mo. old son who needed a late night feeding. I saw the words....woke up my husband and told him about Allie going to heaven...He'd been following the story thru my reading it to him. We talked about how ironic that it was also our anniversary on the 13th and how some families are celebrating that day and some are grieving. You have been such an inspiration to so many. Allie's life has touched so many through your ministry of HFC. My prayers are with your family today as I know it will be hard for you. As your sweetie loved Giraffe's, my sweetie who is now 3 loves pumpkins. So, in honor of Allie we're going to purchase a pumpkin today, decorate "her" and name her Allie. I will take pic's and email them to you. Blessings, Heather

Allie has made such an impact on my life. Because of her I have twice donated bone marrow, I donate blood every 60 days and volunteer and fundraise with our local children's hospital for kids with cancer. I also have done the Light the Night walks in my city. Cancer was never a reality for me until I "met" Allie through your journal. Her legacy will live on forever through me and my 4 daughters who all know Allie's story. Your family is in our prayers evey night. Have a beautiful Allie Day, surrounded by the love of your family and the memory of your beautiful blue eyed angel.

I also can't believe it's been 3 years. I remember reading your journal the day Allie passed and just being shocked that the miracle I was sure would happen hadn't. I was just so sure with your love and strength she would some how beat the odds. But her legacy is the miracle. What you do in her name now is fantastic and I know she is proud of you.

On a personal note, Allie has touched me as a mother. My boys both have health issues, mild in comparison to Allie, but I sometimes forget and get overwhelved. I recently purchased a small stuffed giraffe which I keep prominently in my room. I, of course, named her Allie and she serves to remind me that even though breathing treatments and medications and days missed from work/school are frustrating, at least my kids are alive and fairly well and here with me. I see that giraffe every day and think of you and her. Hugs!

I have been thinking of your angel and dreamed about her last night. My daughter recently got a diagnosis of a genetic condition which more often than not is not serious but we were in the same place the kids with cancer were. I saw a beautiful girl who was not much younger than my 4 year old. You and Allie have made this real to me and not a day goes by that I don't hold my kids closer and love them better. Thanks for sharing her with us all.

I was eating lunch today with Daegen's mom, Janelle, when I stopped to check the calendar. Sure enough it was the 13th. I mentioned it to her and she said it was a milestone day for the Feyh family as well, one where I believe they were going through Daegen's HAPLO transplant. One of the teachers eating with us mentioned he had heard Daegen's dad on the radio that morning promoting LTN. And they are hard at work building the DMAN Hero Foundation, which will try to do for kids in NE Kansas what HFC does for Texas (just wish we had some of that oil money up here!). You and Janelle and all the other moms and dads who said goodbye all too soon are heroes in my book. Your baby girl and your and Andrew's love for her changed the way I look at the world.

I hope that you, Andrew, Maggie and the rest of your familt celebrated Allie's sweet smile in a great way. As I remind myself we might not be able to hold our angels (and its not fair but we know that) but I was told by someone when my son got his wings...the Lord has a garden and he gives beautiful flowers out to special people but every now and then he has to fill his garden again with his beautiful flowers. When I think of that I think of Allie being a butterfy in this special garden.

My 4 yr old and I went to the Gulf of Mexico beach on the west coast of FL tonight at sunset and released 3 ballons for Allie and one for my angel son and when we got in the car, no joking here, there was a butterfly on my wiper blade. They always let us know.....Timmy sign to me is teddy bears :)

Bless you and your family and thank you so much for sharing your children and your family with all of us. We all love to see pictures...you have beautiful little girls :)
