Jenny,

My daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2006. She is doing well and coming up to the end of chemo this Oct.

My heart hurts for the loss of Allie, the questions Maggie asks for which you have no answers. I can't tell you how many times I've had the "how do you KNOW I'm not going to get cancer too" with my older two kids. It's hard. It's impossible some days.

I just wanted to share that me and my family will be walking on the 13th as well. We'll be participating in our local childhood cancer awareness event. Your child, my child, all the kids who are survivors, all the ones who are not, will be the driving force behind so many walking on that day for awareness and research.

All the best.

ok, this is it! I'm going to register and plan to be there ready to walk, not run-HA! My company is sponsoring a walk for another charity Downtown D, the same day...but sweet precious kiddo's fighting for their life just touch my heart---can't miss it this year. Thanks for sharing the info.
