The Allie Bag

It's not everyday that I get to hang out with cool up and coming handbag designers. I was never the cool kid or the one in the popular crowd. And yet, here I am in this cool job where I get to meet amazing people who not only donate their money or project, but their time, talent and energy.

I'm in Houston until Wednesday for business (yes, it's going to be one of those weeks). We had four different meetings today, including drinks with Elaine Turner and her amazing group. Tomorrow, we head to Texas Children's Hospital for a photo shoot with a cool photographer, cancer children, and some pretty beautiful handbags. Magic in the making!

And the coolest part? Elaine's collection will be getting two new additions in the Fall 2008. Specially design with the colors of HFC in mind (one red and one straw)--the Taylor and Allie bags!!

Now really, how cool is that? The Allie bag!!

I beg to differ that you were never the cool kid.

You were always the rock star just waiting for your band.

:) Love you. Hang in there this week!

Ok I will be the first to ask the big question....

Will the bags being designed be for Hero's & Handbags or will they be on her website for the general public to purchase?

I want them both I have followed Allie's story forever it seems and I would be honored to carry a handbag that is in her and Taylor's memory. Don't care what they cost I want them.

Melissa--they will be for her Fall 2008 collection and will be sold at Nordstrom's and on her website!

I can think of no better tribute for a sweet little girl than to have a purse named after her! A well made, beautiful, fashionable, to-die-for purse! :) I'm sure they will resemble Allie and Taylor in so many ways.

You are so in the "in crowd" now! hee hee! You had drinks with Elaine Turner! How great of her to support such a wonderful cause! I wish I could buy one of her purses for this reason alone.
