Sick Again

Are you kidding me?? Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME??? How could I possibly be sick again? How is it that it is the fourth time I've been sick in January? I've been sick for the past few days, feeling a burning in my chest/lungs and coughing uncontrollably.

Went to CareNow tonight. The good news is that I don't have the flu, strep, or mono. Phew. Cleared those tests. Bad news? I have bronchitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis (a throat infection), and some type of viral infection.

Lovely.

Seriously trying not to be whiney. But really, enough is enough. I've had the friggin flu, had two colds, and now all this crap? I'm getting enough sleep. I'm NOT running myself into the ground (the most common thing I'm hearing these days). I probably am not eating healthy enough. Taking vitamins and all the rest of that crap. But I'm sick. Again.

I've really had enough of this shit.

AWW Jenny I feel bad you are sick again. I am on the other end of that had pneumonia the ENTIRE month of September and thought I was gonna die now for the past 4 months not so much as a cough. I just hope I am done for the entire winter...cross my fingers.

Hope you feel better soon:)

Girl, I hear ya! My family is never sick. Wait, that was until this lovely winter. My 3 kids and I have been constantly sick it seems since Thanksgiving. We have a few days of wellness, then BAM it hits again with one of us. Of course then it cycles through the family. Somehow my husband has lucked out and not gotten sick once. I hope this passes soon for my family and yours!

OMG, Jenny, thank goodness your 2nd paragraph told what you have this time around! I have had the same thing for the last 3 days now and am finally getting to see the doctor today. It's hellish, isn't it? On top of that, my 2 1/2 year old son has had a bad cough and waking up several times during the middle of the night. I'm almost ready to bring him back to the pediatrician; the other day he was only diagnosed with the common cold but I have a feeling it might be what I have. I'll write you again once I get back from the doctor's (2 more hours.........).

Oh no!

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Can you get theraflu in Texas.

We have something in Canada called Germ MD. It has helped boost my immune system enough to evade the last bug that ripped through our house.

Good Luck! Shield the munchie!

Feel better soon! We did the cold/flu/stomach flu through our family from mid-December through about Jan. 10. It's NOT fun.

Hope your feeling better!! I just got over the dreaded STOMACH BUG, they were calling it the NORWALK (sp?)virus, it said it originated on the cruise lines and made it's way to "land", now it stalks different households and grips you for a few days! I said it was named appropriately because I couldnt stand NOR WALK w/o visiting the bathroom! YUCK!!

So far as the shoes, ROSS has the exact duplicate of these shoes for 14.99!! I know I bought my 18 yr old daughter a pair!! I wanted a pair for myself, but the "elastic backs" wouldnt work for me AT ALL!! Just a HEADS UP just in case the back order falls through!! *they have them in black and red! They are ADORABLE!!!

I'm so sorry you've been sick! I just spent the last couple of hours catching up on your blog... I can't believe it's been that long since I've caught up with everyone! I haven't even updated my blog since before Thanksgiving and need to really get on the ball.

I came to your blog by keeping up with Allie. A girl that I work with introduced us by trying to raise money while Allie was alive. Since then, I've met you a couple of times at different events, the first time being at the first Allie's Angels Light the Night Walk. I walked with my daughters that evening. Since then, you've inspired more than I can tell you!

I also find it interesting that we have a couple of things in common...Andrew and I both work in the IT field, and seems that we got into it at about the same time and got our Microsoft Certs at the same time, though I'm not sure they're the same since there are so many to get. I also have a grandson the same age as Maggie. He was born 10/18/05. (Blended family-my husband is 9 years older than me, and it's my step-daughters son.) However, we have custody of Logan. Logan also calls Elmo "Melmo," though he's been saying Elmo more and more. With the things that you write about Maggie, I think they would get along great! We live in Mansfield, but are moving to North Richland Hills.

Now that I've written a book instead of a short "how I found your site..."

Take care of yourself and I hope that 2008 is all that you hope it will be!

Oh so familiar...

I started to feel the sore throat on New Year's Eve. Stayed in bed New Year's Day. By 4 p.m. the next day absolutely knew I had strep and went to get drugs. Spent the second week of semester break SICK. Got over the strep, finished the antibiotics and promptly got the same kind of virus you have with all the associated throat issues which, while no longer symptomatic have left my throat and voice a mess. I feel your pain (and at least I haven't had the flu, yet.)

But the calendar says today is February and I hereby banish January to mindless oblivion, nevermore to be discussed or recalled. January pretty much sucked this year and now it's gone. February HAS to be better, right?

Oh Man!! For real!!?? This sucks!!! I thought the sick/flu crap was only supposed to get a person once a year! I'm so sorry! I hear it's going around really bad right now :( Totally sucks it's happening to you again :(

I hope you are feeling better soon and it doesn't come back for a long long time!
