And every muscle hurts. Muscles I didn't know I had hurt. My hair hurts. And yet, I have more energy, my jeans that were too tight now fit, and I feel a little better about myself. Bikini ready? Nope. Out of the old size of pants? Not quite yet.
I hate the weight battle. It sucks that my butt grows just looking at the ice cream I love so much.

I am in almost exactly the same place right now. A month of working out and no visible difference. Started weight watchers today and a trainer tomorrow. Sigh. I keep telling myself I am getting healthy and that is what is important.
Well, LONG LONG time lurker, first time commenter! I followed your blog starting in July 2004 and prayed for your sweet Allie. The story of you and Allie hit me hard because my son (my first child) was also born (like Allie) in December 2003. I can't tell you how many tears I cried over that story. Allie's life has postively affected way more lives than I think you will ever know. It made me appreciate every little second with my children that much more.
I now have a second child too - a little girl and I want to send you some encouragement on your weight loss. I too, after having 2 children, had some excess - uh - weight - to take off. I decided I wanted to take the weight off for 2 reasons - 1 for me but 2 - for my daughter. I want to teach her healthy eating habits and that exercise is fun and should be a part of our daily lives. I want her to learn how to be healthy - and that's the major plug for weight loss, isn't it? It's all about being as healthy as we can be. Anyway - just wanted to send some major encouragement your way and "de-lurk"! ;-)
Sounds like you are doing great!!
WTG! Each little inch and each little pound counts! You are doing great!!! Keep it going!!!
Okay, so maybe I need to follow your lead Jenny. My weight seems to slowly be creaping up on me by the day-ughhh!!!! This morning my BIG jeans hurt when I buttoned them, and that is the kicker for me!
You have officially inspired me!

Rock on...you go Jenny! So happy to hear you are making progress. I won't blab all the "slow and steady" junk, I'm sure you've heard it all before! I'm so proud of you for sticking with it. I have yet to start, those darn Girl Scout cookies are EVIL. EVIL, I tell you!!!!
