Babies, babies, and more babies

Oh, my baby love is flowing tonight:

  • Maggie has a new cousin! Baby Elliott was born this afternoon around noon at 7lb 6oz. Congratulations to Andrew's sister Amie and her husband Michael as well as to big sister Isabella and big brother Max. We're thrilled for the family and can't wait to meet our new little man! Please join me in congratulating Amie and Michael!

  • No, that doesn't help the baby fever, but we are getting closer to considering trying. Potentially in the new year. Still unsure, but we'll see (don't get all crazy excited now, I just said we'll see). I definitley want to, but I am stressed about my health and my weight (that's a blog post that's coming this month, I promise. Just too tired for it tonight)

  • Have you seen my adorable twins lately? Well, I know they aren't mine, but oh my, those twins are getting so big!

  • I'm missing my baby tonight. I'm in Houston until Friday late afternoon. This is the first overnight trip I've had since cancer camp in July and I'm gone for two nights. She simply reminded me I had to bring home a present given that I was taking an airport.

Man baby fever sure is hard to get rid of. Once you have it, there really is only one way to break it...

Hey Jenny! I totally get the stress of health and weight. I had high blood pressure with both pregnancies. It got really scary with the 2nd one. We are still up in the air about a 3rd. However, I decided I needed to do something about my weight. I have about 30 pounds to lose. I joined a gym and got started on a 90 day program of lifting weights and cardio. I check in with a trainer every 2 weeks for measurements and a new workout plan. It has been 10 weeks now and I have lost 17 pounds. The best part is that I am not on a strict diet. I just eat "healthier" (however I still eat the weekly mexican food and margarita) and just try to cut back on my portions. You can do it!! The STRANGE part is that now I actually do LOVE working out. I only do about 20-30 minute cardio. The rest is strictly lifting weights.
I really wished I had done this after my first child, then maybe my 2nd pregnancy would have been easier.
Anyways...enough about that (I just know that if I can do it than anyone can). Congrats on all the babies!!

I hear ya' about the weight thing and another baby. I lost 44 lbs with WW. I know you tried it. I'm not recommending it, but you will find what works for you. If I could recommend it, I love the Turbo Jam workouts with Chalene Johnson. You can buy them at beachbody.com if you are interested in checking them out. She also has a blog if you want to take a peak at it http://chalenejohnson.blogspot.com/
You will find your way as far as your weight. I know how hard it is. Good Luck!!!
